ALIUS RELEASES FINAL SINGLE “HENNESSY AND WINE” FROM UPCOMING ALBUM THE ART OF SELF-REFLECTION

A lifelong musician, ALIUS, is what the industry likes call a triple-threat virtuoso- an artist that produces, song-writes and sings with equal prowess. Now, they’re releasing the final single “Hennessy & Wine” off their debut album The Art of Self-Reflection, which is out January 28.

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, ALIUS is on a mission to breathe depth into pop music. Uplifting melodies married with razor-sharp production are the telltale signs you are listening to an ALIUS tune, laced with relatable lyrics that play on the listeners heartstrings.

Original releases like “Caught Up,” “Fraction” and “Impossible To Love You” have already clocked up over 45 million streams on Spotify alone, while his remake of the Dawson’s Creek theme song “I Don’t Wanna Wait” was picked for the Ministry of Sound Summer Anthems release, living comfortably in iTunes Top 10 Charts for several weeks.

ALIUS taps into a wide range of relatable stories of the human experience: friendships, family, aspirations, expectations, hope and disappointment. “This project is about the real experiences of life,” ALIUS says, “It’s not just about the whole love thing, or hate, or partying. It’s about the complications of life, its contrasts, and how we unpack that in our soul. It’s an expression of the stories that I’ve gone through and I feel as though other people have gone through as well”.

The result is music that will make you feel as much as it makes you move. Welcome to the inner workings of ALIUS, we invite you to take a musical journey that will move you.

TANTALON IS INSPIRED BY THE NATURAL WORLD ON NEW TUNE “PHAZE”

Tantalon is the electronic music pseudonym of Australian-based artist, Dom Kukla. Born in the Hunter Valley Region, NSW, Tantalon emerges from the fog. This musical journey began in the early 00’s when Dom began as a DJ. After time spent in multiple bands and years participating in Brisbane’s small, but vibrant nightlife scene, it wasn’t long before Dom found his way into the studio. Years later, after a brief stint in Sydney, Tantalon was born. Now he’s releasing his newest organic house tune, “Phaze”, on October 29.

The track was recorded and produced by Tantalon in his Brisbane home studio. He also mixed the tune, with mastering by Tony Mantz (Jack the Bear). Dom plays keys/synthesizer and electric drums on “Phaze”. The result is a melodic, deep house track that’ll have you wishing it was a hot Autumn day at Rabbits Eat Lettuce.

“The track was written after coming home from a five-year stint in Sydney. Unfortunately Sydney was plagued with restrictions and lockout laws during my stay there. The entertainment sector seemed stifled from the laws in place at the time. After moving back home to Brisbane there was a sense of liberation, which maybe comes through in this song. This song is about navigating through the tough stages in life and coming out the other side, older and a little wiser,” producer Dom explained of the track.

Inspired by the natural world, freedom of expression, all things dance and electronic, but most importantly the good times and freedoms of the early yesteryears, Tantalon has a unique way of telling his story through music. With an eclectic ear for anything electronic, expect a diverse range of music. Vocal laced broken beat, energetic, organic raw cuts and left field recordings full of colour and emotion. All cooked up in unique fashion.

2021 will see Tantalon releasing a lot of new original material on his own imprint, ‘Full Circle,’ as well as independently.

GALLERI FOLLOW UP SPARKLING DEBUT SINGLE WITH INDIE HIT “EASY WAY OUT”

Mid North Coasters, Galleri, have a sound that’s not easy to put into a box. An eclectic combination of soul, alt-rock, psychedelia, country, surf rock and premium indie makes a glorious concoction on their new track “Easy Way Out,” due out November 26.

The track follows their previous single “Head in the Mire,” and was similarly engineered and mixed by Zach Miller from Target Hearts Studio and mastered by Paul Blakey at 12th & Vine. The lyrical dissonance between soulful and joyous instrumentals and the deeper context carries through on the new single.

“This song questions the way we walk life,” says frontman and lyricist John Moore.

“Which path to take? Who says what’s right and what’s wrong? Being brave enough do life the way you want to, even if it doesn’t conform to society, family or friends expectations.

“Questioning yourself and your decisions but ultimately finding the balance in what is important and meaningful to you and rolling with it.”

Galleri were named such as they originally started out playing and rehearsing at an old art gallery at Green Point, eventually becoming the house band. The fluid ‘Galleri’ banner gave a broad umbrella under which the original songwriters could mix and blend styles and genres.

The mid-coasters’ talents have already graced the stage at major festivals like Groovin the Moo, Grow your Own, Nimbin Roots, Gumball Festival. They’ve embarked on East Coast tours and played Oxford Arts in Sydney among artists like Lime Cordialle, Dan Sultan, Ash Grunwald, Ngaiire, Toni Childs, among many others!

SNOWCATS REIMAGINE THEIR LATEST SINGLE WITH HEBREW VERSION OF “RESPIRE,” “LYNSHOM”

Fused between a concoction of dream-pop grooves and indie-folk acuity, The Snowcats return for the second time this year with a reimagined Hebrew version of their most recent single “Respire“, titled “Lynshom“. “Lynshom” is based around a portraiture of the planet Venus, and infers the story of Jesus Christ’s birth against this astral character’s backdrop, and also a hypothetical exploration of the planet after adoration from the surface of the Earth. The song was originally crafted in Hebrew, and eventually an english version was born from that.

The track was recorded at Angel Studios in Archerfield, QLD. Production, mixing, mastering & engineering were all provided by the talented Nathan Woodrow. “Lynshom” began as a project song of singer/guitarist Alex Edwards, undertaking the goal to make a single based towards the number “7” in composition guidelines. A 7-letter title and in one of 7 chosen languages, Lynshom evolved into the Snowcats repertoire out of genuine demand for its liliting alt-pop contours.

The band’s front man Alex describes the meaning behind “Lynshom” as, “I think Lynshom asks the listener to imbue a sense of peace towards themselves, and to think about space travel. I’d love the listener to consider the gravity and importance of tomorrow’s epoch of technology and space travel, perhaps, while also having them connect to the raw aesthetic gentleness of the song – and have them feel that it speaks to their own private expressions.”

Featuring established local balladeer Alex Edwards on vocals and three peerless fellows plucked from around the ridges of Queensland’s capital, Snowcats converge upon Alex’s 100+ show tally with their own swags of experience to reinvent the indie genre once and for all, and will finish the 2021 calendar year having played at King Lear’s Throne, Tomcat, Archive, The Cave Inn, Uh-Oh and Woolly Mammoth Mane Stage. It’s an exciting caravan ahead for this new foursome of rimy felines, and only one question truly remains – what will be of their debut EP in March, 2022? The Snowcats’ Hebrew version of “Respire”, “Lynshom” releasing on December the 17th will be another taste for all the great things to come.

PROFANITY FAIR RELEASE EPIC LYRIC VIDEO ALONG WITH NEW SINGLE “LIVING DEAD”

Profanity Fair is a 1987 science fiction action band. Anticipating the impending release of their debut album The Bombastic Bop directed by Mitchell Levi, written by Tye Nathan, co-starring Michael Culling and Taylor Hampton.

The boys are back once again following the release of their debut single “One Hit Wonder” with their latest single “The Living Dead” which is also accompanied by a lyric video. The track was recorded at Tye’s home studio in Brisbane, Queensland surrounded with Pokemon merchandise and energy drink cans and some homemade tech.

“The Living Dead” sees Profanity Fair take a darker & heavier approach than their previous single, and the video perfectly captures that energy with its moody late night scenery of Brisbane city.

After a big 2021 following the releases of 2 singles, 2 videos & a huge amount of gigs, Profanity Fair look to come back even harder in 2022 with the release of their debut album The Bombastic Bop on the 29th of April. Stay posted for all things Profanity Fair as there looks to be no sign of stopping as we approach album release.
