Matt Fine Answers My Questions
1.how did the band form?
Lance, Jesse and I were friends from quite some time back. we all shared
the same passion and vision for making music. so one day we just started
playing and have been loving it.
2.what were your major influnces?
we’re al influenced by different things. we like things from classic 80’s
duran duran and depeche mode to cave in and the foos. ummm….u2, coldplay,
kent, quicksand, zwan and the pumpkins, etc. we still find the time to spin
some pantera too!
3.if you could have a three band bill who would they be?
hmmm. to many good bands. to choose from. maybe, u2 the beatles and for comedy
sake, weird al.
4. what music do you class yourselves as?
we’re just a rock band. it’s kinda dreary and spacy. i think it’s just rock
music with noise.
5. where do you think you will be in 10 years?
playing music. hopefully for more people. we just want to keep making music
because we love it so much. there’s really nothing better ro me than being
on stage and feeling the connection with everyone in the room. i don’t want
to give that up for anything.
6. what has been your best gig you have played so far?
i’m not sure about biggest…but we played with the juliana theory and blindside
in NYC at the ballery ballroom. that was really great. i think it was our
first time to NYC and it was really great to hang out and play there.
7. what made you want to go out and play music?

8. what your fav type of beer?
guinness – hands down.
9. who would most like to record a song with?
we’ve been really excited to work with mark nash (produced sle.ep and lovesick).
he’s an amazing guy who really catches the vision of what we’re about. there
are so many talented guys out there. ummm…..ken andrews, butch vig, rich
costey, mark trombino, etc.
10. how did you get signed to doghouse records?
well, we put out Sle.ep through One Day Savior Records (www.onedaysavior.com).
Dirk from Doghouse runs Lumberjack Distro. which puts out all of the One
Day Savior stuff. Dirk really liked the EP and was interested in hearing
more stuff. the rest is history. both dirk and chris (ODS) are amazing.
