Beth Hart latest album Bang Bang Boom Boom is a stunning masterpiece of a singer songwriter who has gone from strength to strength. With solid production work from Kevin Shirley. This is an album that you owe yourself to listen to. With the solid opening track which shows off Beth vocals, musicianship, lyrics and why I love her music in the first place. It’s a real piano bluesy kind of number. The album shows off that she can mix up it up with songs like Bang Bang Boom Boom which is more upbeat lively affair that has a real jazz influence to it. Then she can do songs like Thru The Window Of My Mind which is one of my favorite songs off the album, it’s a piano ballad type number but has this energy about it. It’s a well written song captures Beth. Songs like Better Man show off the blues influences and that just grabs you. But if there is a song that delivers a way to finish off an album in such a way is Everything Must Change, it’s such an amazing tune that is so moving and Beth vocals, lyrics just shine here. The production of the album is first rate, the musicianship is also first rate. Beth is a fantastic piano player. Seriously this album delivers an album that is moving, catchy and mind blowing. She is a talent that you need to discover and get to know. Cannot wait for the live show.
