Bec Laughton – By The Fire EP Review

Bec Laughton – By The Fire (Self Released)
By The Fire by Bec Laughton is a catchy, amazing, well produced EP of a Australian Artist who is doing amazing things and gonna be do amazing things in the future. It’s a blend of different styles that show of Bec amazing voice and good songwriting. A bunch of the songs including Holy Love 2 are written with other people. It starts off with Holly Love 2 which a catchy soul/hip hop kind of tune which features Ni.Na and show off the production and vocals. It is a seriously good way to start off a EP. Now or Never is a good tune that uses the Ukulele alongside Bec amazing voice which then the whole band comes in and adds to the song. The song features Rachel Everett Jones on the other vocals on the track. It’s a good feel good, laid back catchy reggae soul kind of tune and trust me like me you will be singing away in no time. There are two interlude A & B which show of the bands musicianship. Holding Me is written by Bec is a catchy soul inspired with some excellent songwriting, lyrics and great musicianship by the band. Bec voice is on fire. Girl by the Fire is the ballad on the EP it’s a laid back tune, it’s well written, it has this cool intro alongside Bec amazing voice then the guitar comes in later then does come the drums and so on. Interlude B is next and shows off the bands musicianship. Tired Up written with Trevor King is seriously a catchy funky well written soul inspired tune that shows off Bec voice and the also band behind her. It is one my picks off the EP alongside Holding Me. It finishes off the EP in style. This is seriously an amazing EP, great songs, great songwriting it makes it a winning combination for an amazing EP. Bec is going to be a star, she got the voice, the talent to go very far. Oh and I do love the artwork, it’s so well done and adds to the magic of this EP. Check this out folks you will not be disappointed
