Walter Trout – Luther’s Blues Album Review

Walter Trout – Luther’s Blues (Provogue/Mascot/ADA/Warner Music)

Firstly Walter needs a new liver and you can help by donating here http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/walter-trout-needs-a-new-liver-you-can-help-/151911?utm_source=widget This is a tribute album to Luther Allison and it’s a fine tribute to Luther Allison with the great production, awesome guitar playing by Walter which is evident in the opening track I’m Back. Luther songs are given the royal treatment here which are evident in all the songs. I really dig I’m Back, Move From The Hood and Bad Love. You get to hear Luther Speak in the second to last song off the album. The last song is written by Walter Trout about Luther and it’s a solid song and a fitting song to finish off the album.  Walter is a fantastic guitar player and a legend. This is a great release to add to his already fine catalogue.  I hope Walter gets better and wish him the best.
