Yesterday’s Kids Interview

Yesterday’s Kids

Tim From Yesterday’s Kids Answers Parx-e Questions

1. how did the the yesterday’s kids form?

Justin and I (tim) were in the same band in high school. After that ended
(graduation day) both of us had a bunch of songs written that we decided to
record with each other. We needed someone to play the drums so we called
our friend Joe Schmidt to do it. We really liked how the songs turned out
so we asked our friend JonE (of teenage rejects/catholic boys) to play bass
and started playing shows under the name Amazing Larry.

2. who were your major influnces?

It’s hard to say. I think the major influences of YK change from time to
time. The constant ones are Beatles, Ramones, Early Police, Replacements,
Undertones and Tom Petty.

3. what has been your favourite gig you have played?

We played an in store acoustic show the night the “can’t hear nothin'”
record came out. The place was packed and it was really exciting. Another
great show was the last time we played in Green Bay with Mystery Girls and
Cherry Valance.

4. if you could have a 3 band bill what would it be?

That’s a tough one.I don’t know.

5. who has been your favourite band to play with?

It was cool playing with Screeching weasel cause we have been such big fans for so long.

6. when will see the yesterday’s kids come to aussie?

Probably not anytime soon, we aren’t really playing together at the moment.

7. what is your beer of choice?

Guiness or Miller High Life. Or Pabst Blue Ribbon. I’m more into liquor.

8. what are you listening to at the moment?

Big Star “nobody can dance”

that for your time any last words
Steve McQueen’s a total badass.
