TIM GUY RELEASES NEW ALBUM Dreaming of a Night Mango AND ANNOUNCES NATIONAL TOUR

TIM GUY RELEASES NEW ALBUM  Dreaming of a Night Mango
AND ANNOUNCES NATIONAL TOUR

Dreaming of a Night Mango is the mysteriously titled 4th album from the well-travelled Tim Guy. A laid back intimate recording, Guy chose to keep the elements as raw as possible and the result is a 10 track long player reminiscent of little waves lapping a shoreline, set for release on April 5th through Lost and Lonesome.

Inspiration for Dreaming of a Night Mango came whist Guy spent time at a friend?s house in northern New South Wales, where balmy nights were spent on the balcony by the Tweed River listening to records. Heading back home to Melbourne Guy recorded from within his home studio, looking out over the old Pentridge Prison wall. ?We lived there for one year with the sole purpose to make an album. The wall is a massive imposing figure and definitely provided a backdrop for the album. During the days, birds would dip down inside the walls, and in the night the moon would loom large shooting its light through the old watchtowers.?

Written in 2011, second single from the album ?Many People I Know? is a delicate track written when Guy had just moved back to Melbourne from Auckland and he was merely a stranger in a beautiful city. Check out the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28My1I-CWLI

Dreaming of a Night Mango is Guy?s first release in Australia but 4th album to date. Debut album ?Blazey? was released in 2002 after signing to the label of popular New Zealand songwriter, Bic Runga, after a chance meeting at her sound check in Melbourne. Recorded in bursts across a year in Melbourne, Auckland and Christchurch, the debut album of lovely pop, displayed his growing talent as a writer.

Dreaming of a Night Mango marks a long journey for Guy, both in travels across countries and musically as he has found his home and settles in to release the album in April accompanied by a run of Australian tour dates.
