The Quarteracres are a fantastic Sydney indie rock band
with some great tunes.
I knew an interview was needed to help give these guys some
publicity
Read on as there are some great answers.

1. How did you get into music?

Same way you get into a pair of pants – try it on, if it
fits cool, if it don’t fit don’t try too hard cause it can
feel awful!

2. Who were your idols growing up?

Definetly Michael Jackson

3. Who were your influences?

Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Hall n Oates and Midnight
Oil

4. Are you happy with the responses from the latest
release?

Any response is nice apparently

5. What have responses been like to the bands music on
the web?

Mostly positive

6. Has the internet helped with your music?

No – time spent online eats into practice

7. Do you think tools like MySpace are useful?

Myspace is a tool?

8. How did the recording process go for the new
album?

Long and drawn out with plenty of time to consider the next
move, like chess\

9. Was it different to the bands last release?

Yes it has twice as many tunes

10. What inspires you when writing music?

not sure I’m inspired more outraged.

11. Have you had much response from radio?

Fbi in Sydney were great, JJJ don’t give a shit
however.

12. What has been your favourite gig to date?

With Even at the Newtown RSL years ago

13. Who would you most like to record a song
with?

Rob Hirst

14. Have you had much response from labels regardng your
music?

Next to nothing

15. What is the music scene like where the band
is?

Fashionable

16. Which bands have you you guys enjoyed playing with
the most?

lately the Small Hours and Red Ink Spills

17. Do you think Idol is the downfall of the major
label?

Billy Idol did great things for his label.

18 Who have you has helped you out the most?

Hopetoun hotel

19. Who would you like to do a split ep with?

whats that?

20. What next for The Quarteracres?
