The Evening Cast

The Evening Cast are a great Geelong band doing good things.  Incredible songs and are making a name for themselves on the Aussie music scene, they kindly answer my questions so read on.

1. Were you happy how everyone got behind you after the tragic house fire?
We were overwhelmed with the support. The way in which the music community got around us was incredible.. The benefit show was a night we will never forget, and everyone’s contribution was hugely helpful!
2. What do you hope the tour will do for the band?
Our aim is to play an amazing, captivating set, in new places, to new people! The response so far is pretty exciting..
3. Are you happy with how the media has received the band?
Definitely! Local and national media has been really supportive, the momentum in the build up to the tour launch last week was awesome.. We loved popping up on blogs, papers, radios and T.V.
4. What does it mean to connect with your fans?
Connecting with our audience is the most important thing for us, for they are the ones who will keep listening, talk about the music and keep us progressing. Every live set, interview, social media comment, we love engaging with those who are listening and following us.
5. How does social networking help the band?
The majority of people these days are on it, so its highly important and helpful for spreading the word about what we are doing. Its the way people connect and share what they love! Its not everything, but its very influential.
6. Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Bon Iver.
7. What does 2013 mean to you?
New start. Amazing Shows. New Creativity. Honesty. Enjoyment.
8. What is next for the band?

We be paying all June/July around the Country. We release a new single and clip smack bang in the middle of that.. Then we plan to record! We are so excited for the days ahead.
