1. Why did you decide to become a singer/songwriter?
I’d always done a lot of creative writing and when I started playing guitar and discovered I could sing, it just seemed like a natural progression.
2. Who were your idols growing up?
Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mama Cass from the Mama’s and the Papa’s, Katie Noonan and Tori Amos.
3. Have you had much support from radio like Triple J ?
I’m going to start putting more work into publicising my music next year once I am out of school, so no, none as of yet.
4. What is it like playing live?
Absolutely fantastic. To use the cliche, there is nothing quite like it.
5. Has the internet helped with your music?
It has helped me a lot, in terms of getting it out there and getting feedback. I suppose you could say it has helped me in the writing of it as well, because I would never have discovered some of my favourite artists if it wasn’t for the internet.
6. Have you had much responce from the music on Sound click ?
Yes, my old soundclick site got quite a bit of traffic and I seem to get lots of positive responses when I play or sing.
7. Have you had much response from labels?
Haven’t approached any.
8. If you could work with any one who would it be?
Flea, Paul Dempsey or Abby Dobson.
9. What is like writing your own music?
I find it really fulfilling, as it allows me to say things through it that I wouldn’t know how to say any other way.
10. What are your thoughts on realty tv talent shows eg Australian Idol?
Out of all the Idol shows around the world, the only Idol who has had “lasting” success is Kelly Clarkson. I think that if that is what you are interested in as a performer, then great, but it’s not my cup of tea at all.
11. If you could have a dream band line up who would they be?
Michael Barker from John Butler Trio on drums, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers on bass, Paul Dempsey from Something for Kate on rhythm guitar, Daron Malakian/Jimmy Page on lead, Tori Amos on keyboards and Maynard James Keenan from Tool on vocals.
12. What is like being an independent artist in Australia?
I’ll let you know when I get serious about it next year!
13. If you could be on The Simpsons or Spongebob Squarepants where would
you be?
Ooh… if I can’t have Family Guy, The Simpsons it is. I never really got the whole Spongebob thing.

15. What are some of your favourite musicial artists/bands?
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tori Amos, Something For Kate, John Butler Trio, System of A Down, Placebo, george, Bjork, Cranberries.
16. What movies you have seen lately you really enjoyed?
Napoleon Dynamite, Finding Neverland, Bride and Prejudice
17. What are your favourite movies?
Life As A House, Psycho Beach Party, Marking Time (actually a mini-series), Girl Interrupted, Thirteen
18. Reality TV? Good Or Bad?
Boring.
