| Hi friends. First of all, I hope you’re staying safe and healthy and sane. I wanted to let you know that I released a new song today. It’s called “6 Feet Apart“. You guessed it — It’s a song about quarantine. This whole experience of social distancing has made me realize how important we are in each other’s lives. Not just our friends and families but strangers too. The people we pass on the street or sing with at a concert or sit next to at a restaurant. They all fill up our lives and I didn’t know how much they meant to me until now. On one side it makes me sad because I know I’ve taken them for granted. On the other side, it makes me happy to know that once we’re out of this I’ll be more grateful for the people I get to be close to. So alllllll of those feelings spilled out into my notebook one day and I figured I would share it with you. I worked on “6 Feet Apart” with my friend / amazing co-writer / fantastic producer, Steve Solomon, and he sprinkled his magic music dust all over it. We finished the song together via phone calls and emails and text. I hope you like it. |
