When I came across NOA and heard Resist It, I was totally hooked and had to interview her. Thankfully that was possible and this is what she had to say.

  1. What inspired your new EP Honeymoon?

The initial phase of a relationship; that of falling in love inspired Honeymoon. The songs talk about all the beautiful and scary feelings that arise when letting your guard down and starting to fall for someone.

  1. What was the recording process like for it?

The recording process was really amazing but definitely unique. Since the majority of the songs were written and produced during COVID, a bit part of the project was done remotely. Three of the songs were written on Zoom and most of the production was done over facetime. I’m so grateful for the team I got to work with on this project. They made the process so much fun.

  1. How important is things like spotify to you?

I think Spotify is an amazing tool to share your music, reach larger audiences and discover new music through playlists! Big fan of Spotify.

  1. How does a song start for you?

It’s always different… sometimes a melody, sometimes a chord progression and sometimes just by feeling inspired by something that I’m going through 🙂

  1. How does it feel to have the media behind what you are doing?

It’s awesome and I’m very grateful and excited.

  1. What is the music scene like where you are?

The Toronto music scene is filled with so much talent. There’s an amazing community of musicians that I love to work with. It’s full of live and creativity,

  1. Did what has happened over the last year inspire your music in ways it normally wouldn’t have?

Most definitely. Lockdown and playing only virtual shows created space for me to really focus on my writing and production. I’m so excited my debut is finally here and I think this year really helped me finish the EP.

  1. How did it feel to chart on the iTunes chart?

Amazing!! Such a cool feeling and so grateful to see my work on the charts beside Bruno Mars and Dua Lipa.

  1. Who would you most like to record a song with?

John Mayer, Daniel Caeser and Justin Bieber 100%.

  1. What do you hope the rest of 2021 has in store for you?

Lots of music, more releases and live shows 🙂
