Newcastle based Pop artist Horby has just released his brilliant new single ‘Balconies’, which was premiered exclusively via AAA Backstage

“This is a bit of a tragic love song. About those times when you think you’re in love but are too lost in it to see how it looks from the outside. I’ve been there a few times in my life and for me, this song takes me right back there.”

Horby recently dropped his single called ‘Sing Like Hell’, which was premiered via Scenestr. The released secured positive coverage from Australian Music Scene,
HEAVY MagThe Aussie Word and many more. The sing was aired on over 100 radio stations worldwide.

Horby effortlessly combines a variety of genres to create his unique and catchy brand of Pop music. Mike Horbacz (Horby) has been playing music for years and has amassed a small yet dedicated following from performing countless shows across the country.

If you’re a newcomer to Horby, you’ll realise within moments of hearing his sonic that he is a musical force to be reckoned with. His voice soars, that’s standard. His melodies are committed to memory immediately, but that’s what we’ve come to expect from this powerhouse.

New single ‘Balconies’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.

Classically trained vocalist, singer-songwriter, and owner of award-winning French education company, Les Petites Pommes, Mary Clements has created a warm and personal invitation in the form of her debut album, Come With Me.

The album’s indie pop and folk influenced arrangements compliment songs focused on connection, with Clements reflecting on stages of her life when she was trying to figure out who she was alone, experiences with anxiety, as well as her decision to go all in on her relationship and marry her husband.

The vocally powerful, piano and guitar driven “Possibilities” is what Clements refers to as a “funeral for all those opportunities that could have been pursued but died once a path was chosen.”

Narrm (Melbourne, Australia) based Indie Rockers 2RU have just released their new single called ‘Will Must Die’, which was premiered via Scenestr.

The band has also announced that they will be playing a launch show at Bar 303 on December 17th to celebrate the new release.

Written with a diabolical ex-housemate in mind, Will Must Die is about the conscious effort to jettison someone close that is weighing you down.  Whilst it is angry, it’s also introspective and empathetic.  Musically, it channels early Who-style 60s pop, as well as Smashing Pumpkins and Regurgitator-style 90s alt rock.  Watch out for Michelle Lam’s epic keyboard solo, as well as Pete Stathopoulos’ magic voice helping out in the choruses.”

2RU take experimental, psychedelic and progressive rock tendencies; and injects a more direct and assertive songwriting approach inspired by the early work of TheWho, with some subtle 90s alt rock vibes (TheCardigansRegurgitator) for good measure.

2RU recently released their single called ‘The Fixer’, which was premiered via AAA Backstage and was aired on around 100 radio stations worldwide.

New single ‘Will Must Die’ is available purchase and streaming on Bandcamp, Soundcloud and YouTube.

Sydney based Indie Rockers Liquid Zoo have released their new double single called  ‘Turn Me On/The End Of Us’, which was premiered via AAA Backstage.  The band have also announced a single launch show at The Lord Gladstone Hotel in Sydney on December 2nd to celebrate the release.

“Turn me On is a confident, bombastic rock song that explains the feeling of finding that special person, falling head over heels and wondering where it all could go by the end. We feel as if this is the one song that when asked what ‘Liquid Zoo’ sound like is our pick. It ticks all the boxes for us. End Of Us is quite a slower paced ballad. The song that harks back to our love of bands like Oasis. It follows the themes of heartbreak & coming to terms with knowing when something isn’t right for you in a relationship that sometimes you just need to pack up & leave it all behind. It is a bit different for us sonically, as we usually go for a faster paced ’rocky’ sound but this one felt right & we felt like it was necessary and a breath of fresh air.”

Liquid Zoo combine nostalgic elements of Indie and Classic Rock to create an intoxicating sound that is reminiscent of a sweaty nightclub from the 1960’s. They draw influence from the likes of The Rolling StonesSupergrass and T. Rex to create their unique sonic. The band debuted in 2020 and have since garnered over a quarter of a millions streams online, whilst reaching number one on the Triple J Unearthed charts.

New double-single release ‘Turn Me On/The End Of Us’ is available on all major online streaming services.

They recently expanded their line up, recruiting Pedro on guitar (all the way from Brazil), Declan on Drums and Mayra on bass guitar.

WA based troubadours The Witchy Djypsies have just released their upbeat new single ‘Looking Good’, which was premiered exclusively on Double J

“I wanted to write a song about the struggles of tuning body and mind together. About the times where you have to pep talk yourself in front of the mirror every morning like you’re going to fight for the boxing World Cup. About the bliss of strutting around and not giving importance to what you and other people think about how you look. It also feels pretty great to be saying to an audience that they are all looking good while making them dance.”

The Witchy Djypsies skillfully meld together elements of soulful Latin beats, Gypsy Jazz and brass-infused Ska music to create a completely unique and spellbinding sonic.

The band debuted in 2020 with the release of their EP ‘Gypsy Land’. They have since released another EP (‘Out Of The Woods’) and have toured up and down the coast of Western Australia, gathering a dedicated following in the process. They have supported the likes of Tijuana Cartel and Formidable Vegetable, and have played multiple festivals including Karridale Circus FestivalFairbridge FestivalDenmark Festival of Voice and WAM Festival.

New single ‘Looking Good’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
