1. Are you happy with the response to the album?

Yes! I only expected one person to listen to it- and more than 4 did!!- rather …It’s not a given in this day and age (to me) for people to take a risk on new songs- I’m happy people did

2. What was the inspiration behind the album?

The inspiration behind the album is an undying love for writing songs- and performing them…really. I just love music-!

3. How did the recording process for the album go?

Pretty badly! Apparently recording isn’t as easy as GarageBand would make it seem.

You learn a few things about the world in the recording process for an album like this

1. Sound engineers aren’t just button pushers- the great ones aren’t at least

2. We have very little technological improvement from recording systems of 60 years ago to now if you start to leverage out quality of sound with ease of use- in other words- believe it or not- recordings made 30 years ago are quite literally higher quality than many today- oddly….BUT we traded that quality for the ability to manipulate a recording digitally.

3. recording an album 3 or 4 times in different formats and studios across the u.s is time consuming and expensive – no wonder record labels died!

4. How does a song normally come to you?

I don’t know really – for the most part the initial idea tends to come to me – and the craft comes in at finishing it.

5. How do you get your ideas for your songs?

Anything! I have probably 40 books of ideas – things I hear or read or see are all candidates- my favorites are from personal experiences.

6. How did it feel to perform on Broadway?

Broadway is the best and biggest stage in the world. Loved it- will do it again. Hopefully !

7. How does social media help you as an artist?

Simply creating that connection to put out the record and get it going in the world- helps tremendously

8. What has been the highlight for you so far?

Too much! I’m still crazy after all these years

10. What is next for yourself?

Next album- hark! An album approaches!!!!!
