Francesca De Valence – Things That We Had Said EP Review

Francesca De Valence – Things That We Had Said (Self Released)

Brisbane artist Francesca De Valence is back with her latest EP and Things That We Had Said and it is a solid release for the songwriter. The opening track You Know What You Did opens the EP well with a lively pop number to me that has a hint of jazz in their somewhere. Francesca playing on the track is excellent as is the rest of the musicianship. Beautiful Night is a beautiful song that you could say is a ballad. The Piano playing Francesca is amazing, her voice shines here, the lyrics are good and the musicianship is first rate. This one of the reasons I loved her music in the first rate, she knows how to write such beautiful music as this. Desire hints on the same kind of feel, it’s another ballad and another pick off the EP for me, solid song writing and musicianship. Her voice is amazing here. The Fighter is a lively track with some excellent musicianship, vocals shine here as does the lyrics. Song writing is first rate here. Sleeping Dogs is another beautiful track that highlights the vocals, song writing and musicianship. Things That We Had Said is the title track is another lively track that shows off she can write both upbeat track and the moving slow songs. There is also a radio edit for Beautiful Night. The production is excellent, it’s has been well mastered. What can I say but Francesca De Valence is one of Australia finest singer songwriters at the moment. Her songs are moving and beautiful, you feel her with every note. I loved the last EP and I love this one even more. This is a first rate EP that you deserve to have in your collection. Get It Now
