Sunshine Coast legends Flaskas have just released their brand new single ‘Sunny Dayz’ and have announced a run of tour dates to celebrate their upcoming EP release.
‘Sunny Dayz’ is the band’s response to the Coronavirus Pandemic and the present state of mind witnessed within the greater collective. It’s a bold anthem full of heavy howling guitar riffs infused with the clean vibrant warmth of fenders classic telecaster tones. Delving deep within the psyche of a self-isolated mind and the effects felt mentally and physically, ‘Sunny Dayz’ reflects on the darker relays of mental health, finally offering resolve throughout the song connecting the listener to adopt an alternative mind set to deal with life’s experiences. All in all ‘Sunny Dayz’ makes for an exciting audio journey oozing drama with light, shade, pain and triumph.
Flaskas have evolved into one of Australia’s most exciting live acts. Since forming they have shared the stage with luminaries such as Ash Grunwald, Boy & Bear, Tijuana Cartel, The Black Sorrows and many more.
Since forming in 2016, Flaskas have become a formidable live act and have earned their place on Sea N Sound, Caloundra Music Festival, Horizon Festival, Ocean Street World Festival, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Airwaves Festival, Dusk Festival, The Big Pineapple Craft Beer & Wine Expo, Agnes Blues Roots & Rock Fest, Hills Festival, World Environment Day Festival, the Noosa Festival of Surfing, as well as headlining the Commonwealth Games Welcoming Ceremony.
Flaskas recently headed back into the studio to record their new EP called ‘Free The Mind’ (set for release on Feb 19.) The EP was recorded live at
Big Rock Recording Studio.
