1. Why did you decide to become a actor & model?

I love performing and always have. I have tapes from as early as two years old singing and dancing. At about age 8, I started making home runway videos, dancing to Mariah Carey and Bing Crosby (funny combination, yes.) I love being on camera, whether it is a still photograph or film. As for acting on stage, it is so empowering to be able to change a person’s view of the arts just by one performance. I love the newness of performing live. Every performance is different and has a different energy and the show is always a little different every night. It is a living, breathing piece of art, and the most beautiful, in my opinion. I just began modeling about nine months ago, so it is still new to me. I like it a lot but if I’d have to choose between modeling and acting, I would choose acting.

2. Has Internet helped you get acting & modeling job?

The Internet is very useful in the modeling industry. A lot of people use it as a networking tool. If it weren’t for sites like Onemodelplace.com and modellaunch.com, I would have to get an agent, which hasn’t been necessary thus far. I haven’t had a lot of luck with finding acting jobs on the Internet, but in the past year or two, this is getting better. Casting calls are starting to be posted a lot more.
3. Do you think it is a good tool?

I think the Internet is a FANTASTIC tool! We are blessed (and spoiled) to have it. It sure does make life a lot easier.

4. Who would you most like to work with?

Film world: Director: I would love love love to work with Australian native Baz Luhrmann (Director of Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge!) He is fantastic. Two of my other favorite directors are Tim Burton (BRILLIANT!) and Quentin Tarantino (again, Brilliant).

Actor: It’s a dream to work with Johnny Depp. He is incredibly talented.

5. Why musical theater?

I am a musical theater major because I wanted to be a triple threat. 🙂 Here at Ball State University, the musical theater major is a triple major in acting, singing, and dance.

6. What your favorite thing about acting?

Being able to express my deepest, sometimes darkest, feelings in public. It is such a liberating feeling. I also love to have the opportunity to be people and characters that I will never be in real life.

7. What play would you most like to do?

I would most like to do Wicked.

8. Why did you pose for PB?

It was something that I wanted to do for a while. I felt like if anytime in my life, now would be the time, while I am young. I was hoping to make some connections through the process. I also felt like there is no other way to feel more liberated than to be naked for the world!

9. Are you happy how things have turned out by posing for PB?

Nothing really has changed! So, yes I am happy that nothing bad came from it, but slightly disappointed that nothing grand came from it either. But since I wasn’t expecting much of anything, I am satisfied to just add the experience to my life adventures!

10. What kinda role would you most like to play?

I most like to play character roles, usually none human (like Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical the Musical) If the role is that of a human, I like them to be very emotional people, whether that emotion is one of extreme joy or extreme depression. I love to step out of the box with my characters. I prefer comedic roles.

11. Which actors do you look up to?

Johnny Depp, Renée Zellweger, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Winona Rider, and I could go on all day. I love a lot of them. 🙂

12. Any special techniques when remembering lines?

Say them over and over and over. I drive a lot ( about 2,500 miles a month) so I go over them in the car a lot. Some people write them down. I become consumed with the show/ film I’m doing and think about nothing more than that for the duration of the production.

13. What is on your stereo at the moment?

It is an electronica mix I just made. I listen to every kind of music and didn’t have any electronica, so I thought I’d make some for my car. When I’m not listening to a CD, though, I am obsessed with the British Broadcasting Company and National Public Radio.

14. What are some of your favorite musical artists/bands?

Too many to list. I really like Coldplay and Jeff Buckley and Jack Johnson and Lauren Hill and Portishead and Kanye West and see… too many I could go on for a while. 🙂

15. What movies you have seen lately you have really enjoyed?

Perfume: Story of a Murderer,Beowolfe in 3D was really entertaining because things were flying out at the audience, and Across the Universe.

17. What are your favorite movies?

Vanilla Sky, Moulin Rouge, Romeo and Juliet, Donnie Darko, 300, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Little Women, and many many more.

18. Any more stuff with PB in the future?

I will be Cyber Girl of the Week on Dec. 3, 2007. As for the future, who knows?
