Cooperstreet – Anyone? Anyone? (Self Released)

This is the debut release for Melbourne band Cooperstreet who launched this last Friday night to a packed out crowd at The Evelyn who amazing live. It starts off with the song Nothing To Lose which is a catching rocking song with good vocals, musicianship, songwriting and lyrics. Eyes Open is another rocking song with a bit of dark edge, the song is well written with good vocals and musicianship. Wasted Patience is the single off the CD and it’s a really great tune, it’s almost a dark edgy ballad that is also catchy and rocking as well. Good lyrics and musicianship ensure it’s a winner of a track. All Fall Down is my pick off the CD as is Wasted Patience is the ballad off the CD, its use of acoustic and electric guitar on the song suits it to a tea. And the use of drum in the second half of the song is a good choice. Almost Home finishes off the EP perfectly, it’s a cracker tune; love the intro to the song. The production of the EP is good. This is a cracker of an EP that ensures the bands path to a great future in music. Worth listening to.
