Charm City Devils – Battles Album Review

Charm City Devils – Battles (The End Records)

Charm City Devils are back with their latest album Battles to be released in September and its business as usual with kick ass modern hard rock album that’s a little rough around the edges with a dirty vibe to it mixed with a little dash of dirty county blues feel to a track or two. The opening track Tear It Apart highlights the dirty rough around edges feel and I like it. Songs like Destiny, Let It Go and Lying To Yourself are kind of like hard rock ballad anthems that shows of the vocals, song writing and of course the musicianship. Songs like Rich N Famous have a little bit of that sunset strip vibe to the songs with the way the song is performed and structured.  Songs like Crucify have a bit of a blues feel to the song with the intro and the use of the harmonica. Songs like Everyday are straight modern hard rock with the way the song is structured, written and performed.  It’s refreshing to hear a good modern hard rock album these days and I like it. This is an album that is well written, solid, catchy tunes that deserved to be heard. I am a fan and can’t wait to see these guys live one day soon.
