BIGSOUND 2013 LIVE ARTISTS ANNOUNCED
Australia’s biggest festival of tomorrow’s hottest artists BIGSOUND has today unveiled another 80 artists joining its lineup for 2013. Presented by Oztix, BIGSOUND’s Live program takes over Fortitude Valley over 2 nights and 12 stages this year from September 11-12, with performances from some of the world’s most exciting new acts.
Leading the charge in this new announcement are a host of artists industry insiders are chasing including Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Jonti, KINGSWOOD, Darren Middleton, Gossling, Blue King Brown’s Natalie Pa’apa’a, Canada’s Yukon Blonde, Calling All Cars, The Trouble with Templeton, Chance Waters, Regular John and many more!
They join the previously announced list of Xavier Rudd, Megan Washington, The John Steel Singers, Stonefield, Bleeding Knees Club and more, creating what is undoubtedly one of the tastiest smorgasbords of new music you’ll find anywhere this year…. And they aren’t done yet, with 24 artists still to be announced.
“BIGSOUND has cemented its place as the week that Australia’s music industry come out to play and for anyone looking for reasons to join in the party, this list is a pretty good place to start,” said BIGSOUND Executive Programmer Graham Ashton.
“The quality and quantity of applications for BIGSOUND increases each year and our second artist announce is truly mind-blowing. It’s wonderful to see the value the artist community places on showcasing at BIGSOUND. It’s just a shame that we’ve only got 120 spots because there are more artists than ever who are worthy to be part of the event.”
In 2013 BIGSOUND transforms Brisbane’s entertainment precinct into a festival experience like no other, as punters, artists and music industry alike come together to take in the most exciting new acts and discover the next BIG things. Each year the event holds new surprises, as the BIGSOUND monster grows!
