They have listed their top 5 Canadian bands and listed why they like them. Go check them out.

The Glorious Sons

Lighting is my personal favourite. It’s a topic I’ve been wanting to cover for years but never quite got the right poetry down. They did. These guys are currently taking over North America… and the world actually. They are paving the way for the rock revival and have opened for the Rolling Stones at least twice now. I would start from their first full length album The Union and explore from there.

The Blue Stones

Currently one of my favourite Canadian blues rock bands. To me they sound like The Black Keys first 3 albums but recorded and mixed better.

Cleopatrick

Royalblood anyone? These are two brothers from Ontario that are killing it! My favourite track is “youth”

The Pistolwhips

They’re latest single “Pocket Full of Sun” blew me away time and time again. The first 5 times it came on my playlist I was like “Who is this!? It’s sooo good”

Kane Incognito

Great bunch of dudes with a sound they describe as a mixture of Kaleo and Mumford and Sons. I personally think they have a City and Colour vibe to them. They actually picked me up off the street one day. I was busking and they asked if I would open for them. We ended up chatting and drinking all night. Their single “The Breakaway” definitely has Kaleo vibes to it.

Honourable mentions: League of Wolves, W3apons, Reignwolf, Chase the Bear, Where We Wander, Redwoods, The Trews
