Tamworth based troubadour Jimmy Craz has just released his debut single and music video called ‘Too Late’, which premiered exclusively via AAA Backstage. He has also announced that he will be releasing his debut EP on Nov 27.
“When I wrote Too Late, I was wrestling with the decision of whether to bother recording and releasing my own music. Despite writing and performing for quite a few years and having a list of potential songs for an album, I was starting to get super jaded and cynical about the creative life. But the more I thought about it the more I started to develop a sense of urgency around my music. As performers we get told it’s ‘Too Late’ for us at various points in our lives, but it occurred to me that the only time it’s too late to create is when we’re dead.”
Jimmy Craz effortlessly blends elements of Alternative Rock with Country and Southern Rock to create his endearing sound. Influenced by the likes of Pearl Jam, RHCP, Allman Brothers Band, Eagles, Willie Nelson), he writes earnest music straight from the soul.
Craz recently hit the studio with producer Timothy McArtney (Hockey Dad, Gang Of Youths, Thelma Plum, Hoodoo Gurus) to start crafting his debut EP as a singer/songwriter.
Debut single ‘Too Late’ is available via all major online streaming platforms.
Toronto-based duo MOONRIIVR return with “Lady Of The Lake,” a moody, indie single that blends slow-motion surf rock with mournful saxophones and haunting guitar textures. Exploring emotional stagnation and moving forward, the track is the latest offering from their forthcoming sophomore album, expected in early 2027.
The song began with a musical foundation written by Champagne James Robertson, which immediately resonated with bandmate Gavin Gardiner. As Gardiner developed the melodies and lyrics, he drew from a period of feeling emotionally stuck, turning the song into a personal reminder that new experiences and challenges still lie ahead.
“I was feeling very stuck in one place at the time emotionally so this song was a bit of a call to arms for myself,” Gardiner explains. “Realizing there’s still a world out there and that there are new challenges to face and finding beauty in that.”

Victoria, BC outfit The Bankes Brothers share “Georgia Peaches,” a catchy, easygoing indie rock track that finds the band discovering confidence in simplicity. Arriving alongside the announcement of their debut full-length album, For the sake of my love I hope I make it, out February 10, 2027 via Blue Heron Music, the single captures the spirit of the forthcoming record through its balance of intimacy, experimentation, and instinctive songwriting.
One of the earliest songs recorded with acclaimed producer Gus van Go (The Beaches, Metric, Arkells) at Toronto’s Boiler Room, “Georgia Peaches” became an early benchmark for how the band would approach the rest of the album. Instead of adding layers simply because they could, The Bankes Brothers adopted a guiding philosophy of “less is more” and, more importantly, “serve the song.”
“This one was one of the earlier recordings we did with Gus and it kind of set the tone for how we were approaching all the songs going forward,” explains Nelson Bankes. “I can’t recall one particular moment when it felt like it all came together, I just remember all of us being so happy with it when we left the studio.”
