EMMA BEAU MAKES BOLD STATEMENT TO DOUBTERS WITH NEW SINGLE “NERVE”

The nay-sayers, the doubters, those who underestimate us- to stand up to all of this requires a hell of a lot of nerve, and with Emma Beau‘s new single “Nerve” she brings exactly that. In “Nerve”, Emma Beau provides an anthem to help listeners to arrive in the seat of their power and be strong in their values and beliefs, even if it means getting a knife in the spine! Emma draws from her own experiences of having a kind heart in a harsh world, and learning to build thick skin while still remaining gentle in nature.

“Nerve” was written and recorded in Emma’s bedroom studio in Sunshine Coast, with recording/mixing/producing coming from Andy James and Emma Beau with mastering done by Matthew Gray. Emma describes the writing process as, “As is normal for me, I usually write songs after experiencing some kind of intense emotion. This song came out with a force, having written it in about 10 minutes after getting sick and tired of dealing with some very shitty people.“

The Nerve is a complete 180 on Emma Beau’s previous sound, ditching her acoustic instruments and instead merging her previous folk upbringing with a modern/electronic/pop sound. It also draws out a new, uncompromising, no shit taking part of her personality, whilst still retaining her delicate, sultry vocal style. In hopes of what she wants to listener to experience, Emma says “For people to stop being a doormat and realise it’s ok to talk about your problems. I’d also like listeners to embrace my new sound and know I’m more than just a touring violinist.“

Emma Beau is a creative powerhouse, a multi-instrumental, ethereal vision set to burst onto the electro/pop scene with her combination of retro/witchy synth vibes. Having shared the stage with Australian legends Kasey Chambers and performed with her violin on The Voice AU, Emma Beau has all the potential of an undiscovered gold mine. Beau’s achievements include taking out the Queensland Music Awards in 2019 for her #4 ARIA charting song Wild Heart (#1 on the independent charts), and touring around Australia as session musician at Australia’s major festivals, including Woodford Folk Festival and Caloundra Music Festival. Her new single ‘The Nerve’ sees Beau stepping out of her old skin with a new sound and attitude, combining her sultry vocals with electronic production, and we for one can’t wait to hear more!
