1. Are you happy how things have gone for the band so far?
I am very much so indeed, I am quite overwhelmed by it all really, and I am lucky to have the most incredible band, I love them all so much, and just so grateful they want to do this with me

2. What inspires the band when writing music?
Well I write the songs and then take them to my band and we workshop them, everything inspires me when writing though, other artists a lot, and experiences in life, a lot of the time I have to write to be able to deal with something. Lately a lot of modern day composers are inspiring me though like, Olafur Arnalds and Sigur Ros.

3. What is your latest song about?
Fools has many meanings, It’s based around one recent period in my life and what I learnt from it all and am still learning, it destroyed me though, so this was me trying to write down how I felt, getting anger out and sadness and admitting things to myself. I guess it’s quite obvious within the lyrics what it is about, but I am a big fan of people interpreting it how they need to, to help them.

4. What do you like about touring?
Touring is so much fun! It can be very tiring, but I like watching the boys in my band go off listening to jazz fusion for hours on the drives, mind you I do request fusion breaks, it can get a bit much. I also love the random towns you stop in on the way to places, I like seeing the people there and creating a whole backstory in my mind of the life they live there. Haha

5. How important you is touring regional alongside touring the cities?
It’s important to tour regional as well as cities. You can build some amazing fans in regional towns, and they can be very respectful when you go there as most artists don’t, so they are very appreciative I think

6. What has been your favorite show to date?

Mmmm It probably would still be my EP Launch at The Toff in Town last September, wow.. Just the vibe and energy still when I look back at it, it feels me with such adrenaline and happiness an reminds me why I do this.

7.How does social media help you as a band?
Social media, is beyond important! It has helped us reach people worldwide, we have fans in the oddest places, like Bolivia and Ecuador and stuff like that, amazing! Helps spread your music and helps make it easier to connect with and be approachable for fans.

8. How important is connecting with your fans?
Incredibly important, I wouldn’t realistically be able to do this without them, I make such a conscious effort to reply to fans and why not they always say the most amazing things. They make my day all the time! Love them!

9. If you could have any body in a video clip who would it be?
Jared Leto, and it would have to be a make out scene. Sorry but seriously, that guy. Wow.

10. What’s your favorite venue to play at?
Most Definitely The Toff in Town, and I love Northcote Social Club also, I really enjoyed playing at The Jive in Adelaide also.

11. What does 2014 have in store for the band?
We have a very busy year ahead of us, we have the tour for the single and then straight back into writing and recording the rest of the EP. Then a big tour around that, and lots of other secret things I can’t say or I’ll get all my tea taken away from me for misbehaving, and that will reduce me to many tears.
