Lori
One Model Place Profile

1. Why did you decide to become a model?

It’s something I have always wanted to do ever since
I was a little girl. My sister, my best friend, and I used
to get all dressed up and do our makeup. Then, take turns
posing for the camera. It’s funny looking at the
pictures now, tons of makeup and wearing our mom’s
high heels.

2. What has been the highlight so far?

Seeing myself on TV. I was on the Speed Channel twice, for
the Hooters Pro Cup and for the Cleveland Grand Prix. I was
first runner up in the Miss Grand Prix of Cleveland
pageant. I was also on the reality show “Race Car
Driver”.

3. Who has helped you the most?

My family and friends. Dave from DK Photography, he’s
a good friend and is always there when I need advice.

4. Has the internet helped with your career?

Definitely, it’s helped me out a lot. It’s
helped me get in contact with people whom I would have
never met without it. The exposer you get on the internet
is endless.

5. Have you had any bad feedback?

I wouldn’t say bad feedback, but everyone in this
business has been rejected. Everyone has gone for an
audition and not make it. It’s just part of the
business. You’re just not what they are looking for
at the time, you can’t take it as an insult. You
might get turned down a lot, but the way I look at it,
it’s all good experience. Whether you get the job or
not, you tried and you learned from it.

6. Who would you most like to work with?

It was always a dream of mine to work with Kevyn Aucoin, I
think he was one of the greatest makeup artists ever. But,
unfortunately he passed away in 2002. He was amazing, it
was crazy the things he could do with makeup. He was a true
artist. Now, I would like to work with people who are just
as creative and as talented as he was.

7. Which models do you look up to?

Anyone who hasn’t made it big and is still trying.
Someone who can keep their head up and keep trying, that is
admirable. There are a lot of great models out there that
just haven’t been discovered yet.

8. How did you get involved with WONE’S Women That
Really Rock?

Photographer Dennis Roliff saw my online portfolio on One
Model Place and emailed me. He said he thought I would make
a great candidate. So, I made appointment for an interview
and got the job.

9. If you could be in any one music video who’s
would it be?

I think I would have to pick Aerosmith. I have loved them
every since I was little. Their Jaded video with Mila Kunis
was amazing.

10. What type of shoot would most not do?

Pornographic, like Hustler or Penthouse. I could never do
that.

11. What have you got lined up next to do?

I’m shooting the motorcycle apparel line Power Trip
with the Star Boyz.

12. Would you ever start up a website to help your
modeling career?

Yes, I already have a online portfolio on a portfolio
hosting website. I’ve been thinking about starting my
own. It’s a great way to get exposer. Almost everyone
has a website now.

13. If you could be on The Simpsons or Spongebob
Squarepants where would you be?

The Simpsons, I love that show.

14. What is on your stereo at the moment?

Shakira, in English or Spanish I love her music.

15. What are some of your favorite musical
artists/bands?

Shakira, Tupac, Pepper, Christina Aguilera, Dave Mathews
Band, Kanye West, Jon B, Kelly Clarkson, Twista, John
Legend, Audioslave, Jaheim, Jagged Edge, Alicia Keys, there
are so many I could go on forever.

16. What movies you have seen lately that you have
really enjoyed?

Waiting, If you have ever worked in a restaurant
you’ll love it. The Terminal, I don’t know why
I waited so long to see it. Tom Hanks did a great job in
this movie.

17. What are your favorite movies?

The Crow, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Super Troopers,
Goonies, The Man in the Moon, Waiting, Out Cold

18. Reality TV? Good Or Bad?

That’s a hard one, depends on which show. American
Idol is good because it helps people with a great deal of
talent the exposer they need to get started. The marriage
shows, bad. To have a group of men or women compete for
someone’s hand in marriage is weird and wrong.
It’s all about competition, not love and that what
marriage should be about. Growing Up Gotti, good, just
because those guys are so cute, a little to young for me,
but cute.

Thanks for you time any last words

Thank you so much for taking the time to interview me. I
also want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me
out. Keep a look out for my site, I’m hoping to get
one soon. But, for now you can check me out at davidkphoto.com
