Interview With Jessica Erin Sylvia By Chris 23/12/08
Jessica Erin Sylvia is a actor and a model who is extremely beautiful, extremely talented and such a nice person.
I have interviewed her before and she gave a great interview, so I wanted to know what she has been up to which means moving to LA
So read on and once again she gave some solid answers
1. Why did you move to LA?
-I moved to LA to pursue my career in acting and to escape the cold winters of Boston!
2. How do you hope living in LA will help your chances with actor and modeling?
-LA has been and will always be the heart of acting. I will have more opportunities to take on projects and network by living there. Modeling is fun and good money on the side, but of course I don’t see a future for me in high fashion modeling because I’m only 5’2! Although, I will take on any great gigs that come my way!
3. How did you get involved with the film 27 down?
-The producer/director of “27 Down”, John Depew, plays a character in “Meet the Mayfarers” with me. He called me with the idea for the character “Candy”. He knew he wanted me for the role, but still put me through the audition process to be sure!
4. What do you think the film will do for your career?
-“27 Down” is my first film, so I’m hoping it turns out ok! If all goes well, the film will be a great addition to my resume and help with exposure.
5. How did you get involved with German Montero video clip?
-One of my online portfolios is at www.onemodelplace.com/jesylvia. That networking site has gotten me a decent amount of work, including the music video.
6. Are you happy how it turned out?
-I like how the video turned out, but I wish they would upload a more clear version to YouTube! The video is primarily aired in Mexico so it’s hard to obtain the clip.
7. Are you happy how things have turned out for your career so far?
-Nothing is ever enough for me, of course. I’m such a work-a-holic and can’t wait to get involved with more projects. I’m totally appreciative of what I’ve been offered up until this point, but I’m nowhere near done yet!
8. What was it like working on Tricks Of A Woman & Meet The Mayfarers?
-“Tricks of a Woman” was one-day, brief shoot for me. I have a small scene with Scott Elrod. I haven’t seen the final product yet, but I’ve recently been told that it opened the Monaco International Film Festival and won Best Picture, along with a few other awards! “Meet the Mayfarers” is a webisodeiTunes sometime in January. It’s a super fun project. We’re a group of fun, goofy, actors and crew with outrageous push-the-envelope ideas. Todd Norwood (producer/director/mastermind behind “Mayfarers” and director of “Tricks”) is open to any crazy ideas we come up with, which creates an awesome environment to work in. mini-series that we’ve been working on for about a year now, and will finally begin airing on YouTube and
9. How did you get involved with those projects?
-Todd found me (again on One Model Place) about a year ago for “Mayfarers” and then referred me to audition for “Tricks”.
10. How is the acting different to the modeling?
-Well, having experience with acting certainly helps with modeling! It aids in creating the perfect moods and facial expressions. I enjoy acting more than modeling because it gives me the opportunity to be so many different characters. I’m in love with the schizo vibe of it all 😉
11. How did you get involved with Adea Italian Swimwear & Berrydog Swimwear?
-Once again, OneModelPlace.com! This interview has made me realize just how many prominent gigs I have found through that networking site. It’s great! In both cases, the companies contacted me with a job offer. I’ve shot a few times for Berrydog, and also just a couple of months ago for Adea.
12. Are you happy how those have turned out for you?
-I’m very excited with how those gigs turned out! Both companies are comprised of good people who were great to work with. I’m on the cover of Adea’s new catalog that they sent out to their clients a few weeks ago. Fun stuff!
13. What else have you been up to LA apart from chasing acting and modeling jobs?
-I moved to LA at the very end of August knowing one good friend and a few acquaintances out there. I started over with just my dogs, so the past couple of months have been filled with furniture shopping, networking, hiking, and meeting new people.. I didn’t want to focus on work right away as much as building a new home. Now I have a few more really fun people in my life, and I’m just taking it one day at a time, living it up!
14. What don’t you like about Hollywood so far?
-As you may know, it can be quite pretentious. That’s definitely not my scene, along with many “scenes” in Hollywood, but there are plenty of other good things to involve yourself with.
15. What do you think Obama will do for your country?
-I don’t know for sure, but I’m hoping he will fix our economic crisis! I do know that he gives people such hope and inspiration that goodness is sure to come.
16. What don’t you like about living in LA?
-Isn’t that the same as #14? Haha I guess, like everyone else, I hate the traffic! Fortunately I don’t usually have to travel during rush hour so it’s not so bad.
17. Will you go back to doing your degree or is the acting and modeling the career path for now?
-I finished the fast-track Biotechnology degree, but did leave the whole Bachelors program behind. Eventually I will finish just to accomplish a personal goal, but right now I want to concentrate on what I’ve been dying to pursue since I was a little girl: acting! I’ll never know until I really give it a try. If I fall flat on my face at least I can say I did it and then go back to school.
18. Have you had any problems so far in regards to getting work in acting and modeling?
-So far so good! Work is pretty slow right now in all industries in this country, but I’ve been fortunate enough to find little gigs here and there.
19. Have you had any problems regarding the magazine stuff you have done?
-My Playboy work hasn’t come back to “bite me in the butt” if that’s what you mean! I think today’s world is so open-minded that Special Editions work shouldn’t hinder my future opportunites very much…hopefully!
20. What is next for you?
-I have a few ideas in the works…You’ll have to wait and see! 🙂
21. Who would you most like to work with?
-There are a few creative people that I would love to work with at some point in my career, but my latest is the “Twilight” series. I know it’s more of a “what” than a “who”, but after seeing the first movie, I am hooked! I’d love to play a vampire someday.
Thanks for interviewing me again, Chris! Happy Holidays 🙂

Interview With Anya Samantha Jordanova By Chris 8/12/08
Anya Samantha Jordanova is an actor and model and yes she is both of those and has got stuff in the pipeline for both
She also has her own not profit organisation Brad Renfro Memorial Foundation about drug awareness started up after the death of her friend.
You will be seeing a lot of her now and very soon
1. Why did you become a model
THOUGH ACTING IS MY TRUE PASSION… MODELING CAN ALSO BE A CREATIVE OUTLET-WHEN AROUND THE RIGHT PEOPLE. THE FASHION, THE COLLABORATION, IT IS EXCITING IN ITSELF.
2. What have you learn’t from being one?
DONT TAKE THIS BUSINESS SERIOUSLY. IF YOU DO, YOU WILL FEEL OLD AT 25!!
3. Why do you think that California voted on Prop 8?
AMERICA IS A WONDERFUL COUNTRY, BUT FULL OF VERY SHELTERED AND SCARED PEOPLE. I WAS SURPRISED AND DISSAPOINTED IN CALIFORNIA, AS THIS STATE IS SO FREE AND LAID BACK, BUT I BELIEVE IT GOES ALONG WITH THE CONSTANT STATE OF FEAR PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY ARE ALWAYS IN. AND GAY MARRAIGE TO SOME PEOPLE IS THREATENING, BECAUSE TO THEM IT IS “OUTSIDE THEIR BOX”.
4. What do you think of the paparazzi and the celebrity bloggers and the tabloids?
MONSTERS. THEY ARE LIKE PARASITES.
5. Why did you start the non profit organisation Brad Renfro Memorial Foundation?
BECAUSE HE WAS A PERSON, WHO WAS MORE THAN AN ACTOR, OR PUBLIC FIGURE. HE WAS A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE, AND DESERVES TO BE REMEMBERD FOR MORE THAN HIS DEATH. ALSO, THE ISSUE OF THE RISING DRUG USE AND ABUSE IN THIS COUNTRY IS HORRIFYING, IT WAS A PERSONAL WAY FOR ME TO HONOR MY FRIEND, AND GIVE BACK TO A CAUSE I TRULY BELIEVE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED MORE HEAVILY.
6. How is that going?
IT’S GOING EXCELLENT, THANK YOU!! WE HAVE RAISED OVER 14,000 USD., AND ARE STILL GOING STRONG. AN AUCTION OF JEWELRY FROM THE INFORMERS IS IN THE WORKS RIGHT NOW.
7. How did you get into acting?
MY GRANDMOTHER JEAN CARLIN, WAS AN AMAZING WOMAN, AND EQUALLY GREAT ACTRESS. I HAVE NEVER WANTED TO BE ANYTHING ELSE. AND IN DOING IT, I CAN STILL BE ANYONE I WANT, WITH EACH PROJECT. IT IS AN INCREDIBLE CREATIVE OUTLET. SHE TAUGHT ME THAT, AND HER AND MY MOTHER HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BEHIND ME 110%.
8. How is that coming along?
DOING WELL!! I JUST WRAPPED 2 FILMS BACK IN FRANCE, THE LAST BEING L’ENFANCE D’LCARE WITH GUILLAUME DEPARDIEU. HE WAS SUCH A TALENTED ACTOR, AND SO BELOVED IN FRENCH CINEMA, AND IT WAS AN HONOR TO WORK WITH A PRESENCE LIKE HIM.
9. What has been the highlight of both?
MODELING WISE. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TRAVEL, AND MEET SOME INCREDIBLE, INNOVATIVE PEOPLE. ACTING WISE.. AHHH MATE, IT NEVER WILL GET OLD. I GET TO KEEP CREATING SOMETHING FROM SCRACTH, AND WHETHER THE PROJECT IS A INDEPENDENT FILM, FEATURE, OR SHORT FILM-IT IS ALWAYS GRATIFYING.
10. What do you think Obama will do for your country?
THE ANSWER IS WHAT HE HAS ALREADY DONE FOR THIS COUNTRY, BY BEING ELECTED PRESIDENT. HOW WONDERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL IS THAT IN ITSELF? I TRUST HIM, AND HOPE AND PRAY HE DOES WHAT HE SAYS. I THINK HE WILL.
11. What has been your favorite modeling campaign so far?
DEFINETLY MY CAMPAIGN WITH GREENPEACE AND PETA. I AM A HUGE ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST AND A MEMBER OF GREENPEACE, SO DOING THAT “ID RATHER WEAR FUR THAN GO NAKED” CAMPAIGN WAS AMAZING.
12. What is on your stereo at the moment?
KINGS OF LEON!
13. What are some of your favorite musical artists/bands?
AH I AM PURE FRENCH GIRL, AND EDITH PIAF, WILL ALWAYS BE MY HERO! I LOVE SEAN LENNON, MIKE PITT’S BAND PAGODA, AND DAMIEN RICE LATELY.
14. What movies you have seen lately you have really enjoyed?
‘THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS’ WAS HEARTBREAKING. “OTTO, OR UP WITH DEAD PEOPLE”-THIS TINY, FUCKING NUTS GERMAN FILM FROM BRUCE LABRUCE WAS FANTASTIC TOO!! ‘UN CONTE DE NOEL (A CHRISTMAS TALE)’-FRANCE’S BEST OF THE BEST ACTORS, AND IT IS MY NEW FAVORITE HOLIDAY FILM!!
15. What are your favorite movies?
THE DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY, THE PIANIST, 2 DAYS IN PARIS, STAND BY ME, A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE.
16. What is next for you?
COLLABORATING WITH MADCAT PRODUCTIONS AND WORKING ON SEVERAL HORROR FILMS WITH THEM. ALSO, WOULD LOVE TO DIRECT MY FIRST FILM THIS UPCOMING YEAR. AND VIOLETTA, A FILM I AM VERY PROUD OF-IS RUNNING THE FESTIVAL CIRCUITS!
17. Who would you most like to work with?
