Interview With Danica McKellar By Chris

Danica McKellar is one talented person who can act and
also has got into directing.
I wanted to find out from this great actress.
She has a short film called Speechless which
she directed and stared in.

1. How did you get into acting?
Started when I was eight, took some classes at Lee
Strasberg Institute and began doing theater through their
program. I got an agent at the age of 10 and did my first
commercial (Volkswagen Club) a few months later, several
more commercials and episodics and then landed The Wonder
Years when I was 12.

2. How has your life changed since The Wonder
Years?

Since TWY, I went to UCLA and graduated with a degree in
Mathematics, and now I’ve been acting again– I’ve been on
The West Wing for the last year or so, and I just got back
from Bulgaria, shooting a movie for the Sci-Fi channel that
will be out early next year. (They don’t have a title for
it yet) As it gets closer to the release time, I’ll make
sure my official website puts up a notice. I’ve dabbled a
bit in filmmaking, but for now my focus remains on acting!
That, and the various cartoon voiceovers that keep me busy
in between acting gigs. (more info can be found at my
website, mentioned below, or on my listing at IMDB.com)

3. What has been your favourite storyline on The Wonder
Years?

My favorite episode was the pilot episode. I think it’s
some of the best TV ever produced, and I’ve always felt
lucky to be a part of it. The storyline includes the
untimely death of my character’s brother in Vietnam. The
first kiss between Winnie and Kevin, in a moment of sadness
and comfort, completes the episode.

4. What has been your favourite character to
play?

Elsie Snuffin on “The West Wing.” You just don’t come
across writing like Aaron Sorkin’s very often.

5. What would we find in your stereo at the
moment?

Billy Joel and the Beatles.

6. Who are your favourite music artists?
Billy Joel, Elton John, Aretha Franklin

7. If you could remake any movie what would it
be?

A Few Good Men

8. Who are your favourite actors?
Shirley MacLaine, John Spencer, Richard Dreyfuss, Steve
Martin, Allison Janney, Marlon Brando, Bill Murray

9. What is your favourite music movie eg Spinal
Tap?

A Mighty Wind

10. Who would you most like to work with?
Steven Spielberg

11. Where do you think you will be in ten
years?

Acting and Directing in films

12. What movies have you seen recently that you have
enjoyed?

The Terminal– by far the best movie out this summer!

13. What are some of your favourite movies?
Jaws, Shawshank Redemption, A Few Good Men, Shindler’s
List, What About Bob?, Zoolander, Parenthood

14. Is Speechless going to be released on dvd?
Not that I know of at this time; Hypnotic Distribution
bought the rights to it, so you’d have to ask them. (And
please do!) I’d love to see it released on DVD. It’s the
start of my filmmaking career, which I love almost as much
as I love acting:)
Thanks for your time any last words

Interview With Amy Mizzi By Chris

Great aussie actor most known as playing Kit on Home And
Away

How was the logies?

So much fun! It was fantastic to have the opportunity to
sit in a room with such talented people.

Were they as you expected?

The whole “red carpet” part was pretty surreal. I tried not
to have any expectations and just enjoy the night.

How did you get into the acting business?

I started as a dancer. I love all forms of the performing
arts. I spent a year in tertiary education studying acting,
singing and dancing and at the graduation performance I was
lucky enough to be spotted by the casting agency that works
with Home and Away.

Were you a big fan of Home and Away before you got onto
the show?

I was back in the Shane and Angel days.

Was it fun to play kit?

It was a challenge more than anything! But i loved it. I
got to work with an amazing and fun crew and formed
freinships with a lot of the cast. It’s a pretty
entertaining job. Full of surprises!

Did you learn a lot from working on Home and
Away?

Before H&A I had only acted in theatre and its
complettely different to acting infront of a camera. I
learnt a lot about acting from my onscreen mum Clarrissa
House (Beth). She’s incredibally talented.

Who is your favourite actor and actress?

My favourite actors are Johnny Depp and Gene Kelly. My
favourite actress would probably be Audrey Hepburn.

What is your favourite movie?

I love “Singing in the Rain” and also both the “Kill Bill”
movies. And I just saw “Chocolat” and I loved it too! Oh…
and ” A Mighty Wind” was hilarious.

If you could remake any movie what would it
be?

I would love to play Kathy Seldon in “Singing in the
Rain”

What would we find in the Amy Mizzi stereo at the
moment?

“Thirteenth Step” by A Perfect Circle is in my car. And
“Euphoria Morning” by Chris Cornel is in my stereo.

What are your favourite bands or artists?

I could go on forever about my favourite bands. Led
Zepelin, The Tea Party, Audioslave, Ben Harper, John
Buttler Trio, A Perfect Circle, Powderfinger, Alanis
Morrisette, The Beatles…… I could list these for
days…..

What do you think of Australian Idol and Popstars
live?

Not a fan.

What radio stations do you normally listen
too?

I dont listen to much radio, I always have an album of some
sort on.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love to draw, paint and take photos. I go to the beach a
lot, I also like scuba diving. I listen to music and go to
see a few bands. I catch up with my friends and my
boyfriend, eat as much thai food as possible and I’ve
recently taken up juggling.

What will we see you in next?

I’ll keep popping up in Home and Away for a little bit
longer.

Have you got any acting work lined up?

At the moment it’s just Home and Away….. but who knows
what will happen a little further down the line…..

Special thanks to Lambert House Enterprises and of
course Amy Mizzi for this.

You people rock

Interview With Thomas Ian Nicholas By Chris

I interview Thomas about his new movie LA DJ and
about his career.
LA DJ (Thomas And
Timbo Movie)

1. How did LADJ come about?

A few years ago, my brother Tim told me he was going to
write a screenplay and he invited me to write it with him.
I asked him what it was about and he said “if you write it
with me it will be about 2 brothers”
Moreover, my brother came up with the initial concept of
the story. Together we worked out all the details and wrote
75% of the first draft by locking ourselves in a hotel room
for a weekend. The rest is history.

2. What got you into directing?

Well…I have been wanting to direct a movie for the last 8
years. I just never knew when I would get to do that. After
the initial attempts to sell “LA DJ” to major companies, my
brother and I realized that they were gonna change our
whole idea.
Water it down to some homogenized movie. We decided that we
were going to take control and that’s when I shared my
dream of being a director with my brother. And he agreed to
let me take on that role.

3. What has the response been from most people about the
movie?

We have had many test screenings and premieres for “LA DJ”
and the response has been positive. One of the greatest
things that I’ve heard, besides the laughter, has been from
people who have seen it twice. They say that the second
time they watch it gets funnier. They hear jokes that they
didn’t catch the first time. In my mind that’s the best
kind of movie. You know, one that you can watch over and
over again.

4. How did you get people like Carl Cox involved in the
movie?

Getting Carl Cox in the movie was quite a journey. My
brother Tim used to DJ in the underground scene with Jesse
Brooks our music Supervisor. Jesse introduced us to Mark
Lewis who grew up with Carl. Wait that sounds a little
easier than it really was. However, the basic idea is that
we connected with Carl through a core network of DJs.

5. Was it hard to make a independent movie?

The most difficult thing about making an independent movie
is when it’s your first time. There have been so many
surprises along the way. Every time my brother and I
accomplish something there’s a new challenge right around
the corner.
I have one thing to say…Post production was by far the
most tiresome aspect of the process. Long lonely hours in
the editing room.

6. Are their plans to get the movie released
overseas(especially Australia)?

Yes. Especially Australia. I have family in Perth. We are
going to release “LA DJ” in the US and Canada first. At the
present time we are in talks with people who will handle
the foreign distribution for the movie in all the other
territories.

7. What got you into acting in the first
place?

I started acting when I was 6 years old. I was exposed to
it because of my Mother’s job and have been acting ever
since.

8. What has been your favorite character you have played
so far?

My favorite character is the role of “Mitchell” in a movie
called the Rules of Attraction.

9. What would we find in your stereo at the
moment?

Switchfoot

10. Who are your favourite musicians?

Bruce Springsteen

11. If you could remake any movie what would it
be?

The Bruce Springsteen story.

12. Who are your favourite actors?

The one’s who deliver honest performances.

13. What is your favourite music movie eg spinal
tap?

The Shawshank Redemption

Thanks for your time dude any last words and goodluck
with the movie
